Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) before using QR Code Maker (“Service”, “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
QR Code Maker provides a free web-based tool to encode text or URLs into QR code images for download. The tool is provided for general informational and utility purposes.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Site. You are responsible for compliance with local laws when creating or distributing QR codes.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create QR codes that link to illegal content, malware, phishing, or deceptive practices
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
- Harass, abuse, or harm any person or entity
- Attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Site in a way that violates applicable law
You are solely responsible for the content you encode in QR codes and where you publish them.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that every QR code will scan in every environment, that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that downloads meet your specific design or print requirements.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QR Code Maker and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which is zero for free use).
6. Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and layout are owned by us or our licensors. You may use QR code images you generate for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law. The open-source QR encoding library used in the browser remains subject to its own license.
7. Third-party links
QR codes you create may point to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
8. Changes
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the Site at any time without notice. Provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
